What is Machine Learning?

So, this is my First blog of the Machine Learning Series. I'm sure you'll gonna love this ride. So let's start with a formal bookish definition of Machine Learning.

Definition:-

Machine Learning is the subfield of Computer Science that gives the computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed.

Uses of Machine Learning:-

The Applications of Machine Learning are endless, the only limit is your imagination and this is why ML has been evolving so rapidly.

Machine Learning is extensively being used in many key fields and industries such as:

1. In Banking Sector

Bankers use ML to make decision on whether to approve a loan application as per the    previous record of the applicant.

2. In Healthcare Industry
Data Scientists use Machine Learning to predict types of cancer, in diagnosing diseases and even predicting diseases before they infect a patient.

A good decision tree from the patient's historical data helps doctor to prescribe a proper medicine for each of their patients.

3. In E-Commerce and Entertainment Industries
I'm sure most of us must have atleast once bought a product from amazon                       recommendation or watched a movie from Netflix recommendation isn't it? 

Netflix and Amazon use Machine Learning to predict recommendations for a customer based on its location,language,interest and many more factors.
